Fantasicamania 2013 presented by New Japan and CMLL.
La 5a Estacion - Me Meuro
Any wrestling fans who still haven’t seen this should really check it out! It’s not only a great song, and a completely wacky video, but a good example of how big Sin Cara was in his pre-WWE days.
As Mistico, Cara was a megastar in CMLL and a huge draw. You could pretty much call him the John Cena of his era in Mexico, although much more beloved in his prime and you could argue a bigger money generator. While WWE tell a lot of little white lies, when they talk about what a huge deal Sin Cara was in Mexico, they aren’t lying. He was something of a cultural phenomenon. This video, which was also his theme song, stars Mistico as himself and the exploits of one adoring female fan. Be sure to check out the big finale, a moving scene where they kiss… without taking off his mask.
I was just thinking about this because of more reports that Mistico has heat on him in WWE for being big headed and arrogant. While no one likes to work with a pompous asshole, there’s no denying that he was a pretty big deal back home and does deserve his share of respect. Check it out.

YAAAS!
Devitt vs Volador; I just hope it’s better than their match in Japan.

Prince Devitt after his arrival in Mexico, his first match will be on Friday, which is the CMLL 79th anniversary show.
Devitt will team with Mistico and Atlantis to take on Negro Casas, Ultimo Guerrero and Dragon Rojo jr.
