Follow the Buzzards
By Consequence
Mixed by David Matin

Former member of Kanye West’s “G.O.O.D. Music" record label, Consequence, drops a song over a sample of The Wyatt Family’s theme. I knew someone was gonna do it sooner or later, the beat itself is enchanting.

Clams Casino — ”Crystals”

From the Grand Theft Auto V soundtrack, and a pretty banging track, perhaps moreso than we’re used to hearing from a producer known for his murky instrumentals. Perfect for cruising the night in a stolen car. Not that we’d ever advise such a thing.

Listening to Game albums:

'Ali Bomaye' being on the GTA V soundtrack made me think 'fuck it, I should listen to Game's two newest albums because that song rules.'

I re-listened to LAX first. That album is better than I remember it. It’s kinda overproduced but there are some awesome tracks on there. I think it has a negative rep because it wasn’t in the same league as ‘Doctor’s Advocate’, or the same universe as ‘The Documentary’, which are both great. On its own merits, it’s a solid album for sure.

I moved onto ‘The R.E.D. Album’ and, man, that thing sucks. That’s when his shtick got tired, all the cameos were overbearing and the bits were just nothing. That whole album is totally forgettable and I don’t see myself going back to it.

A few tracks into ‘Jesus Piece’ and I’m really digging it. I heard this was the return to form and I can see that.
