Rest of the show was eh, last two matches ruled.
Rest of the crowd doesn’t know there was two MITB winners this year.
Alrighty, Vengeance is tonight! I’m sorta looking forward to it. I haven’t enjoyed WWE the last few weeks but I can still enjoy some good wrestling, and this card looks like it’ll have some.
WWE Title: Del Rio vs. Cena - Last Man Standing
WWE last man standing matches are usually long and really good, and I reckon this will continue that trend. Cena and Del Rio work well together and I think this is the type of stipulation that will add to their match, as it can cover up some of their weaknesses. Should be the best match of the night. As for who wins? Ummm, hard to say. The main reason Alberto win the title was so they’d have him as champ going into Mexico, but that’s behind us now. Still though, I reckon he’ll retain. They treat him like a big deal, and probably know the title change at Night of Champions was a big error, and so he should retain here. I imagine there’ll be a big cliff-hanger ending to this match as Cena likely wont be losing clean, and they need a big angle to set up whatever the five vs five match at Survivor Series is.
World Title: Henry vs. Show
Could be good if kept short, and they use a few short cuts. I like both guys character wise, but lets not be silly and act like this could be good if it goes longer than six or so minutes. Probably going to a DQ or something to set up the next match. If not, Henry will just win clean. Again, could be ok if kept short.
Triple H and CM Punk vs. Awesome Truth
I do not give a FUCK. Should be good though, if it doesn’t go forever, which it could because it’s a Triple H match. I guess Triple H and Punk win, but it’s hard to call. I mean, how can I guess which way this angle is going? I expect quite a bit of shenanigans in the finish because the whole conspiracy thing is far from over, probably.
Randy Orton vs. Cody Rhodes
I did watch SD! and I thought Cody was so dang bad in that promo. His over-the-top Heath Ledger knock-off mannerisms are just annoying, and the GOOFY laugh. Ugh. BUT… Cody is great. And depending on how much time this match gets, and how good the WWE title match is, this could also be the best of the night and a real show stealer. Both guys are awesome, and bring the goods on PPV so I’m expecting a lot. Other than Cody’s silliness, I did enjoy the segment on Friday and I hope this feud goes on for a while. I’d say another dirty win for Cody. I could see Randy winning but that would kinda end the feud, and Cody would be back to square one.
Tag Team Titles: Air Boom vs. Zig Swag
Should be really good. I enjoyed the Hell in a Cell match quite a bit, and I’m a fan of all four guys. I think a title win for Zig Swag would be great. Air Boom have had a decent run, and after they lose they can follow it up with them chasing the titles again, so my pick would be Ziggler and Swagger. I think part of the reason they win is because I’m guessing Ziggler loses the US title to Ryder on the show as well. They never really seem to actually put Ryder over strong, he just gets wins based on run ins or similar silliness, so I could see him getting the US title based on Ziggler having two matches. It would give the fans something to be happy about but not really harm Dolph. I dunno though, they might decide to have Ziggler have two titles, which I’d also be fine with. I think the match will be good because Ziggler is so awesome, but I’m not as big a fan of Ryder as everyone else.
Divas Title: Beth vs. Eve
Should be decent if Eve has a good night. Seems straight forward enough, Beth wins and the dull cycle of challengers continues. I mean, who’s next? Kelly again? Oh boy! They need some new divas in a HURRY.
Christian vs. Sheamus
Loved their last match, this one should be even better. I think Sheamus picking up another win is a safe bet. Looking forward to this one.
