El Ligero vs Akira Tozawa from Preston City Wrestling

Here’s some pre-Night of Champions fun for y’all. Tozawa is one of my personal favourites right now, with a phenomenal year in PWG and his home promotion Dragon Gate in 2011. El Ligero is one of the most seasoned and talented luchadors in British wrestling right now. They had a great match here in front of a packed crowd who were really into it. Other than the stand-in ring announcer botching Tozawa’s name, this is a great watch! There’s lots of little things to Tozawa’s shtick that make him so much fun to watch. I like the shoutout “CHRIS HERO~!” before he hits a back Senton. Tozawa and Hero had two match of the year contenders together in 2010 and 2011 in PWG, which are the matches you could argue made him a star in the US. Check it out. :)
