Looks like Punk was getting pushed and slapped several times before the guy behind him hit his head. Still unclear on the intent.
There were definitely some douchebags pushing and shoving him, but the guy he eventually hit looks to have only bumped into him accidentally once, and then slightly grazed him when putting on his shades (I have no clue why) and then Punk lashes out.
Totally excessive in my book, and totally unprofessional.
On this day: RAW Roulette debuts and in the main event, Kane single-handedly retains the World Tag Team Championship in a 4-Way TLC match. Kane’s partner, The Hurricane, was taken out before the match by Ric Flair and World Champion HHH. Immediately after Kane won what would be voted the greatest match in RAW history a few months later, HHH accuses Kane of murdering Katie Vick. (10/7/02)
